The Fades are a London-based band has appeared on our blog a few times now and never fails to delight us with their unique take on garage rock.

Their new single Missed the Point isn’t that new – it was originally created 20 years ago. The release is to celebrate a special anniversary edition of their debut album Social Misfits, which will be out on 22 November 2024.

Missed The Point is a jangly rock track that opens with a swaggering, looping instrumental before smooth vocals come in. It’s the kind of track that you can help move along to, as we’ve come to expect from The Fades. It’s proof that they’ve always had it, and should definitely be garnering more attention.
