A singer-songwriter based in Wakefield, Oliver has featured once before on this blog when I ran the rule over his single never ever.
Now he’s back with a new one called lonely together which is all about being left behind by friends and realising it’s OK to find peace in solitude. It sees Oliver taking his sound in a full-band sound direction creating a number that’s rich with atmosphere and emotion. Oliver’s expressive vocal holds the focus as they deliver relatable lyrics that will bring a knowing grin to your lips. An anthemic chorus proves that he’s a master of the indie rock hook.
If you fancy catching him live, Oliver will be headlining the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds in February 2025.
Lonely together was produced and mixed by James Kenosha and is out now. You can give it a listen below.
