A Helsinki-based singer songwriter, Carla first appeared on our blog in October 2024 thanks to her ode to friendship, watercolour. She’s now back with her new single, through

About connection, hope and love, it’s a beautifully vulnerable track, opening with delicate piano and plenty of emotional ambience. As ever, Carla’s vocal is the centrepiece. Her voice is full of compelling character as she delivers her introspective, relatable lyrics.

The song will feature on her upcoming album Things I Forgot to Tell You set for release 7 February 2025 via Kieku Records. It was recorded in Carla’s studio flat in Helsinki and her family’s cottage in Southern Finland and was produced and mixed by Roni Ylhäinen with string and horn arrangements by Carla’s sister, Milla Käyhty.

Through is out now and you can give it a listen below.
