Suburban Bicycle Gang return with mythical and raw garage rock track, Wendigo.
By Graeme Smith
A Cambridge, Canada-based rock duo comprised of Eric St-Pierre and Jerry Grey, Suburban Bicycle Gang have appeared on our blog a couple of times before. Their singles In The Cosmos and Bud The Spud have made our pages over the past two years.
Their latest track Wendigo is inspired by the ghoulish mythical creature of the same name as well as garage rockers like Mario DiSanto. Recorded as close to live as possible to give the track a raw and immediate feel. A lively tempo immediately grips the listener before things hit a dark yet move-inducing groove. Finally, we reach a vibrant and jangly crescendo.
Wendigo was recorded at Eric’s studio, Voidland Records, in Waterdown, Ontario. It’s out now and you can give it a listen below.
