Paytron Saint drop release eleven of twelve for this year, this time giving us their cover of Jon Kennedy’s Suicide.

A Belper-based rock trio, Paytron Saint have been appearing on our blog since 2022. A prolific act, we’ve shared five of their releases on these page since then, most recently posting about their single, Got Milk?, in September 2024.

The group have committed to releasing a track a month this year and their latest is a cover of Jon Kennedy’s statement on global warming, Suicide. Teaming up with JJ Lovegrove, the band give it an alt-rock twist.

Things open strongly with echoing guitar before a simmering yet urgent verse gives plenty of space to the track’s visceral lyrics. The track builds powerfully before we get some catharsis through big riffs and driving drums.
