Discovery: Cosmic Gloss has a unique take on pop with new single

Local act Cosmic Gloss blends the ’80s and modern day for emotional new single, Dance Throne.

New to our blog, Cosmic Gloss is the project of Leeds-based “odd-pop” artist Ed Harrington. Drawing influence from Black Kids, Charli XCX and MO, their latest single is called Dance Throne.

Taken from their upcoming album Spark Ambition, the single has a touch of the throwback about it. ’80s pop elements swirl together with contemporary hyperpop, giving us something deliciously undefinable. What is unmistakable, though, is its strong sense of emotion, brought ably by the soulful vocal and rich instrumental.

Dance Throne is out now and you can give it a listen below.
