We’ve been covering the music of London-based singer songwriter Lexi Berg since 2021, and now she’s back with a delicate Christmas track.

It was Jane who first discovered Lexi for this blog, running the rule over her hopeful single, Lonely World. Earlier in 2024, I shared her music too, thanks to her “outsider anthem” Bermuda Triangle.
Her latest track, Fall Like An Angel, sees her getting into the seasonal spirit in her own way, channelling the often neglected melancholy of winter with a delicate, intimate number. Its lyrics are rich with emotion and storytelling during a devastating verse before things swell to a cathartic chorus where Lexi’s vocals are at their most passionate. Through the sadness, there is joy. As Lexi puts it the song is about finding “beauty in the descent.”
Fall Like An Angel was co-written by Lexi Berg and Jim Eliot. It’s out now and you can give it a listen below.
