Leeds-based artist Cole LC is becoming a regular on our blog. We’ve been sharing his music since 2023. Now he’s back with a new, emotional pop banger, Weight of Love.

Cole first caught our attention through his politically-charged R&B track Slowly (Hope You’re Not a Tory). Since then, we’ve shared two more of his tracks.
His new single Weight of Love makes it a hattrick and might just be his best yet. Written by Joel Johnston and produced by Sfven (another York Calling favourite) and Andy Gannon, it sees Cole stretching his pop credentials through a simmering groove, soulful vocals and plenty of emotion. Its lyrics speak of the complications of relationships and will tug at your heartstrings.
