Arliston explore repeating patterns in hard-hitting new single

London’s Arliston tease their upcoming debut album with its title track, Disappointment Machine.

Perennial favourites here at York Calling, Arliston have been appearing on our pages since 2021 and we rarely miss a chance to share their music. Recently, we’ve been sharing their singles in the run up to the release of their debut album, Disappointment Machine.

The latest is the album’s title track. Exploring the concept of repeating patterns of behaviour, it’s a typically gentle and melancholic effort from Arliston with the instrumental giving plenty of space to the hard-hitting lyrics. They are, as always, soulfully delivered, especially during an affirming crescendo.

The album Disappointment Machine is set for release 7 February 2025. The single is out now and you can give it a listen below.
