KARMA are back on our blog with their empowering anthem, SIS (She’s Something).

An American R&B, hip hop and pop trio hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, KARMA first came to my attention at the end of November 2024 thanks to their Christmas song, The Mistletoe.

Their single SIS (She’s Something) is a powerful anthem celebrating the unselfish roles that women play every day. Opening brightly with acoustic guitar and soulful harmonies, we instantly get a sense of empowerment from the track. It’s tempered nicely with elements of melancholy that suggest conflict that needs to be overcome, eventually being conquered by a defiant chorus. As with The Mistletoe, the trio’s vocal layers work together beautifully.
