York Calling favourite Genevieve Sovereign shows off her ambient house chops with cosmic new single, Starspin.

A Melbourne, Australia-based artist, Genevieve has been appearing on our blog since the start of 2023. Most recently, I shared her boundary-pushing track Square Root -1.

Her latest single Starspin sees her delving into the world of ambient house, EDM and IDM. A slow-builder, we are greeted by some soft synth before percussive textures come in. Breathy vocals paint a cosmic picture with their lyrics and, finally, a dance-inducing groove gets the party started.

Starspin will feature on Genevieve’s album STARSEEDS WANTED: enquire within set for release early in 2025. It was mixed and mastered by Deece of Omni-hieroglyphic. It’s out now and you can give it a listen below.
