I first discovered Rosie Belvie a couple of months ago when I was compiling tracks for a round-up review based on songs for exercising to. Her song Survive really caught my attention, so I was really excited to hear another single from Rosie, this time titled Crush.

Crush is a catchy modern pop song, seeing Rosie utilise a cool beat and a nice ska-style guitar motif to make a track with a summery vibe. The track is particularly welcome at this time of year, sure to warm your heart with its upbeat qualities, getting stuck in your head on the very first listen. Rosie’s vocals are utilised well here, seeing numerous layers of backing vocals float through the music, taking on a rhythmic quality themselves. It’s also great to hear a pop singer making music that features a few other genres, so Crush comes well recommended from me!
