Finnish composer A. Blomqvist is about to release his new album Pohjola, with Loiste being a little sneak peek into what to expect from the record.

If you’ve read our previous reviews of A. Blomqvist’s work, you may know what to expect by now – Loiste is a beautiful piece of neoclassical music, focused solely on the artist’s piano playing, which sounds amazing here. The piano has a playful sound, seeing the composer change the rhythm and playing pattern of the tune briefly as the piece progresses, drawing you slowly into his world during the piece. The track tails out slowly towards the end, leaving you longing for more.
