Originally meeting in Leeds, horanVi are a London-based jazz and alternative pop duo of Sam Horan and Violet Ross who have just hit my radar through their debut single, In Blue.

Opening lively, we get some playful vocalisations in the track before the tempo unexpectedly slows for a soulful and introspective middle. As it reaches its climax, we get plenty of spirited interplay and a soaring crescendo. It’s an exciting debut from a pair who I’ll be keeping an eye on.

In Blue was produced and mixed by Sam Horan and features London based jazz musicians on drums and keys. It’s out now, available to buy as a digital track on Bandcamp. You can give it a listen below.
