Birmingham-based pop rock band Lycio have played shows for Sofar Sounds, Airwaves Festival, Chris Evans’ CarFest and BBC Children In Need. If that wasn’t enough, they’ve also received support for BBC Introducing, BBC 6 Music’s Tom Robinson, as well as contemporaries like Rae Morris and Self Esteem.

The trio have featured on this blog once before, in the summer of 2024 through their “sexy electro pop” track Liquid Gold. At the time I described it as “something to behold” yet the band confess their previous single almost broke them up. Their newest, written and recorded in 2021, is the one that kept them together. It’s called I Feel Like Being In Love.
The track is their heaviest offering yet. Big riffs greet the listener right from the off while powerful vocals take them by the hand. Building through the first verse, it arrives at a chorus that’s full of sultry longing. A moody breakdown part way through nicely sets up the track’s climatic finish in which the vocals truly shine.
I Feel Like Being In Love is the fourth single release from their debut EP, Inbetween, set for release later in 2025. It’s out now and you can check out its video below.
