Discovery: UK indie band Pentire drop new single and EP

Pentire are a Herefordshire-based indie band who have burst onto my radar through their latest single and EP.

The band have previously featured on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music and Radio X and have a sound influenced by pop rock legends like The Killers and Stereophonics.

Their new single Being Underwater is, according to songwriter Jack Morgan, “about moving out of the city and finding life beyond your hometown.” It’s a slow-burning, soul-searching number which is beautifully emoted by Jack’s vocals. All the while a soft indie rock instrumental simmers before boiling over during a devastating crescendo.

If you fancy catching Pentire live, they’re coming to the Brudenell Social Club in Leeds on 15 February 2025. You can buy tickets here.

Being Underwater is taken from their new EP, Love On TV which is available now to stream and on vinyl. You can give the track a listen below.
