A rock duo from right here in York, Glass Caves made a splash when their debut album, self-funded from endless busking, made the Official UK Top 40. Now they’re Making Waves with a new single.

We’ve been following Glass Caves’ career since 2018 and the band continue to go from strength to strength. New single, Making Waves, is a wonderfully moody and simmering number that gives us plenty of texture in its verse before sliding seamlessly into a bright, poppy chorus. There, the vocals become soaring and emotional.

Glass Caves are coming to The Crescent, York on 22 May and Headrow House, Leeds on 31 May 2025. Tickets are available here.

Making Waves is taken from the band’s upcoming album Back To Earth, set for release 2 May 2025. The single is out now via Scruff of the Neck Records and you can give it a listen below.
