Natalie Lucie first featured on our blog in 2022 thanks to her rebuttal to society’s superficiality, Let Myself Be. Her new track, Save The World, is similarily outward-looking.

Taking of themes of revolution, rebellion and hope born from despair about the current state of the world, Save The World feels like an important track. Its message is delivered beautifully through Natalie’s emotive vocals, which are soft and thoughtful in the verse before becoming soaring and passionate in the chorus.

Musically, it’s influenced by rock icons like Skunk Anansie, Radiohead, Muse, and The Smashing Pumpkins, giving us a brooding and edgy arrangement that explodes into rousing life at its crescendo.

It’s so great having Natalie back on our blog. She has a compelling sound and plenty to say with her lyrics. If you’re a fan of alternative rock with a message then you’re going to find a lot to love about her latest track. It’s an understated wonder.

Save The World will feature on Natalie’s upcoming album The Light. It was written, recorded and produced by Natalie in her Gloucestershire home studio with additional arrangement, co-production, mixing and mastering by Hattie Murdoch (HATi). It’s out now and you can give it a listen below.
