Already receiving attention from BBC Introducing West Yorkshire and Sheffield’s Emily Pilbeam, Polite Bureaux have now hit our radar through their tribute to their hometown, Bradford.

The band’s new track is a spoken word post-punk effort which brings to light the Yorkshire city of Bradford – its high points and its seedy underbelly. The lyrics are beautifully storytelling, delivered in an almost resignation by the vocals against a backdrop that combines rock with electronica.
A collaboration with Bradford 2025 City of Culture, Bradford is the first single from Polite Bureaux’s album EXCEPT YOUR SKINT set for release 11 April 2025. The track is out now and you can give it a listen below.
