The Muster Point Project go cycling in joyful new single

We’ve been covering the music of The Muster Point Project since 2024 and recently I got a chance to run the rule over their swaggering country rock single, Darlin’. Now they’re back with its follow-up, You Are My Breeze.

By Graeme Smith

While Darlin’ was inspired by Southern hospitality, You Are My Breeze is about the joy of bicycling. It’s a hobby close to the project leader’s Kevin Franco’s heart, and he’s delved deep into past songs on the topic in composing it. The result is a bright and laidback number with a beautiful sense of movement. Its lyrics are rich with storytelling and the promise of adventure around the next corner. They’re delivered gently by the vocals, especially during a harmonious chorus.

With their new track, The Muster Point Project show themselves to be a project of joy and love. Their authenticity comes through in every note. You’ll never look at a bike again without breaking out in a smile.

For You Are My Breeze, Kevin plays guitars, bass, piano, mandolin, and djembe, as well as providing all the vocals. He is joined by producer Darryll McFadyen and Marcelo Effori on drums. It was recorded in Calgary and Montreal, Canada, and was mixed and mastered this side of the pond in Scotland.

The single is out now and you can give it a listen below.
