Ireland’s Under Starling are a band who are becoming regulars on these pages. We’ve been sharing their music since 2023 and ran the rule over their debut album, Murmurations, last year.

Their new single and video, Bird Watching, shows us the delicate side of their sound. It opens faintly with captivating vocal harmonies between Under Starling front man Danny and guest artist Molly Robb. It’s a track that transports, and Under Starling invite us to imagine Ireland’s southeast coast as we listen.
