Austin, USA-based alternative rock act The Dialtones first featured on our blog in February 2025 through their experimental wonder of a track, Monk. Now, they’re back with a new one.

Love to Live is a moody number that combines bluesy undertones with electronic overtones. The instrumental and the vocals trade blows during a simmering first verse before things boil over in a groovy chorus. Surreal imagery is the order of the day in lyrics that speak of loving the process, not the end goal. Songwriter Lauren Gurgiolo was inspired to write it by the book Finite and Infinite Games by James Carse.
Comprising of members of Okkervil River, White Denim, The Polyphonic Spree, The Heartless Bastards, and the Golden Dawn Arkestra, The Dialtones are certainly not a band to be under-estimated. I’ve been truly impressed by what I’ve heard from them so far.
Their new EP, Static Sky, is set for release on 11 April 2025, and is available to pre-order on Bandcamp now.
