AF90 is the pop project of Vienna, Austria’s Andreas Födinger. An award winner, and growing presence across Europe, he’s just hit our radar through his latest single, Drugs on the Weekend.
By Graeme Smith
Blending disco with dark pop, Drugs on the Weekend is dance music like you’ve never heard it before. While a move-inducing groove is there, there’s something delightfully odd about it too. Expressive vocals sit at the heart of the track, refreshingly honest during its very adult-only tale of hedonism.
The track’s surreal video is the icing on the cake.
I love an innovator that doesn’t take themselves too serious and AF90 most certainly ticks that box. His new track is as fun as it is catchy.
Drugs on the Weekend is out now and you can give it a listen below.
