Abnorm release first video and title track of new EP

An anthem of defiance, GIANT is the new track and video from Newcastle-based rockers Abnorm.

Songwriter Abbie Rose wanted GIANT to be a tale of reclaiming one’s power and it does that without a hint of squeamishness in its visceral lyrics. A chanting chorus will have you hooked while its heavy rock instrumental will get you hyped.

An intimate and powerfully minimal video, the first they’ve shot as a band, sees the trio performing in a white room. The lack of bells and whistles means the band rely on their natural charisma to hold the watcher’s attention, and they achieve it. Frontwoman Abbie Rose simply captivates behind the mic, and she’s ably backed by Ryan Brown on guitar and Adam Willis on drums. As the video progresses, things start to get messy.

With their latest track, Abnorm are calling out those who underestimate them, and we certainly shouldn’t. They are a powerhouse of an act. We’ve been covering them since 2022 and will continue to do so as their presence grows on the UK rock scene.

The title track of their new three-song EP, GIANT is out now and you can give it a listen below.
