Hailing from just up the road in Newcastle, PØRTERS are an alt-rock band who have grabbed my attention for the first time through their edgy pop rock single, The Thrill.

The Thrill is a swaggering number with commanding vocals and a singalong chorus. There’s plenty of edge but also an accessibility to it that means it’ll have broad appeal. It helps that its lyrics speak defiantly of a dysfunctional relationship. We’ve all been there. A gnarly guitar solo is particularly delicious.
