Newton Faulkner is back with rock single and tour announcement

Newton Faulkner was one of the stand out acts of the ’00s and the man has never really stopped. He’s a perennial gigger, we’ve had him in York many times, and is releasing new music all the time.

By Graeme Smith

If you haven’t listened to Faulkner since his stripped-back Teardrop days, his latest Alright Alright Alright will come as a surprise to you. It’s a swaggering, pacy Brit-rock team up with Bloom Twins, with an undercurrent of blues and plenty of edge. The tempo never lets up while Faulkner’s vocals charm with their character. The lyrics are beautifully rousing.

With the single comes the announcement that Faulkner is touring again in October and November. He comes to Project House in Leeds on 22 October 2025. Pre-sale tickets will be available from 7 May, with general sale on 9 May, available here. If you don’t want to wait that long, he comes to The Crescent, York this Sunday, 4 May.

The tour will be in aid of his upcoming album, Octopus, set for release 19 September. You can pre-order it here.
