Ettie is back with a pop punk revenge anthem

If you’ve ever been wronged in your life, then ettie has a solution for you. It’s called The Song I Scream In The Shower.

By Graeme Smith

The Song I Scream In The Shower is a bright pop punk effort with some cutting lyrics that speak of being played in love and taking revenge. Ettie’s expressive vocals are the highlight and they’re especially during a powerful, memorable chorus. Things are cantering in the verse before the arrangement breaks down for a striking build to the track’s crescendo that reminiscent of Wet Leg’s finest moments.

A regular on this blog, ettie is a singer-songwriter who has used writing as an escape for most of her life. In her 20s, she came out as a lesbian and now performs unapologetically queer pop punk anthems for fans of Avril Lavigne and Hayley Williams.

The Song I Scream In The Shower is out now and you can give it a listen below.
