Tribe is the re-released single from Manchester’s Danny Addison, adding a cinematic twist to one of the best tracks I’ve heard on this blog.

We originally shared Tribe along with its video in April 2021 and it’s a song that stuck with me. When I saw it was to be re-released, I knew I’d take the opportunity to write about it again.

The new version of the song adds a cinematic quality to the original, with rousing, overlapping layers coming in after a stripped-back first verse. It adds a striking poignancy to the track’s lyrics which speak of modern tribalism. The passion of Addison’s vocals make it what it is – they are utterly gripping.

The track is taken from Addison’s upcoming debut album, Porcelain. It’s out now and you can give it a listen below.
