Discovery: Natasha debuts on our blog with storytelling single

A singer-songwriter hailing from Kansas City, USA, Natasha is new to our blog with her well-observed acoustic pop single, Life’s Little Tragedies.

By Graeme Smith

With lyrics rich in bittersweet nostalgia, Life’s Little Tragedies is an instantly arresting track. Natasha delivers the heartbreak with a practised subtlety that knows that less is more. The instrumental, too, follows this philosophy. Stripped-back and acoustic, guitar and strings create the backdrop for the passionate and compelling vocals.

For the track, she drew inspiration from personal experiences and the essence of the present moment. Ultimately, she hopes to convey a message of resilience and hope and I think that shines through. Musically, Natasha takes a leaf from the book of John Mayer, giving his sound with her own unique twist.

Life’s Little Tragedies was produced at Greenjeans Studios in a small town Kansas. It’s out now and you can give it a listen below.
