An artpop/singer-songwriter from central Illinois, USA, Lilly Kopp has featured on our pages once before. Now she’s back with a bang.

Rich with unexpected poetry, her new single, They Can’t Forgive You, You’ve Done Nothing Wrong, unfolds along an offbeat rhythm that combines folk, pop and jazz. Kopp’s vocals hold the attention throughout, especially during a memorable chorus that’s full of defiance. The track builds nicely to a rousing outro that’s full of ghostly vocalisations and off-kilter piano.
“I wrote this song to encourage those who have been told by someone else, ‘I don’t like your tone.’ Well, I like your tone!” Kopp explains.
And we certainly love hers. The track follows her single, Gibberish, which featured on our pages in November 2024.
