Two York Calling favourites team up for new single, Holy.

British indie pop artist Jacre (real name Julian Ransom) first featured on our pages in March 2025 through his breakup anthem, Brighter on The Edge.

His latest, Holy, is a delicate and vulnerable folk number brought to life by his quiet and emotive vocals. They are enhanced in the chorus thanks to harmonies from another York Calling favourite, Lucie Glang.

The lyrics speak of finding peace in the real world by turning away from modern vices. It’s a wonderfully relaxing sentiment. If two previously featured artists weren’t enough, the track was co-written and produced by Dominic Romano, a name you might recognise in connection with singer-songwriter Luna Keller.

So, it’s no surprise that I was in love with this track.
