York’s hottest young bands play the Crescent

18 November 2025 sees the Crescent play host to some up-and-coming local bands.

Vagabond are a pop punk band from York, England. Formed in 2023, the band channels the spirit of classic punk while bringing their own sharp modern edge.

Fueled by blistering riffs, pounding bass, and relentless drums, Vagabond deliver live shows that are high energy and captivating. Their lyrics aren’t just noise or anger — they’re reflections on the world they’re growing up in, filled with social commentary that speaks to a generation navigating uncertainty, change, in the aftermath of lockdown.

Since hitting the scene, Vagabond has earned a reputation for their explosive sound, DIY ethos, and authenticity. Their debut EP No Future showcases their ability to balance raw pop punk power with playful observations, proving that punk is not dead yet.

Joining them at the Crescent will be Substate, The Lanthorn Scarecrow, and Disappearer. The event, called Kickstart, will help raise funds for the Music Venue Trust.

Admission is £7, and tickets are available here.
