The Bergamot deliver festive hits with a difference

It’s January, so the last thing anyone wants to read about is a Christmas album, but trust me, this one’s worth a listen.

By Graeme Smith

The Bergamot’s A South Shore Christmas (Live at The Morris) sees the duo return to our pages for the first time since 2023 (though we’ve shared some of Nathaniel Paul’s solo work more recently). Boy, how we’ve missed them. Their latest album bustles with rock energy, emphasised by its live recorded nature.

Originals sit alongside holiday favourites, giving us an interesting blend of the new and familiar, and the married pair demonstrate plenty of onstage chemistry in the interludes. At twenty-six tracks, there’s plenty to get stuck into. We get some very special guests too.

A South Shore Christmas (Live at The Morris) is out now, and you can give it a listen below.
