The Cribs will play a huge outdoor hometown show at Leeds Millennium Square on 11 July 2026, marking their first appearance there in a decade and celebrating the build-up to their new album Selling A Vibe.

The date follows the release of their latest single A Point Too Hard To Make, offering a glimpse of the band’s first full-length record in over five years.
A Point Too Hard To Make arrives as the second single from the new album, pairing chiming guitars with the dual vocal approach that has long defined the band’s sound. Its themes of reconnection and reflection run throughout Selling A Vibe, which the Jarman brothers describe as their most openly personal record yet. The track’s video ends with a touching moment between Gary and Ryan Jarman, underscoring the family bond at the heart of the project.
Gary says: “All that 2000’s damage, basically. Small-town romantics – years spent longing for connection, escape, excitement – given in abundance, for an entire decade. What do you do when the party is over? Where does it leave you? We will let you know if/when we get there. We’ve still got each other though. That’s what this one is about, a bit of a kitchen-sinker, really.”
The forthcoming album follows a period of regrouping for the brothers after living apart across three timezones and feeling the strain of the release‑tour cycle. A summer spent together without writing or recording sparked a renewed sense of purpose, ultimately shaping a record focused on family, honesty and rediscovery. Their collaboration with producer Patrick Wimberly brought a new sonic direction, allowing the band to explore contemporary pop‑leaning production while keeping their melodic instincts intact.
The Cribs’ wider 2026 tour features UK dates through March, with Leeds Millennium Square acting as a major summer highlight. The band emphasise that they now only release new music when they feel they have something meaningful to add, and the upcoming album reflects their desire to reconnect with themselves and their audience. With strong responses to lead single Summer Seizures and anticipation building around Selling A Vibe, the Leeds show marks a significant moment in their return.
