Néomí Starts 2026 Strong with Intimate New Single Didn’t I

We’ve been covering the work of néomí for a few years now, and the Dutch-Surinamese artist even paid a visit to our fair city in 2025 in support of Seafret.

By Graeme Smith

Her latest single, Didn’t I, is our first taste of her music in 2026 and it sees her starting the year strong. The track is an intimate acoustic one with a hidden depth in its instrumental composition and heart-rendering story. A philosophy-tinged story of heartbreak grips us as the composition ramps up the drama.

Néomí cites Bon Iver, Phoebe Bridgers, Bob Dylan, The Paper Kites, and Novo Amor as among her influences and fans of those acts are going to love what she’s doing. We’re certainly fans.

Didn’t I is out now, and you can listen to it below.
