His previous single, In a Heartbeat, was released on 6 February 2026 and is an energetic and an early 2000s inspired rock track about staying optimistic and positive in life. Take It Away is the band’s upcoming new single, released today as part of the album Kinda Wild II.

Mirroring his previous record, Take It Away maintains an early 2000s vintage rock tone. The music video gives off a relaxed and casual vibe, showcasing Shaky’s home studio and featuring footage recorded by his dad.

The homemade feel correlates directly to the band’s message of reviving the garage rock movement. Seeing Shaky playing all the instruments and performing the vocals in the video gives a nod towards the many aspects that he oversees and manages in this solo band.

Shaky describes his new track as “one of those tunes that was just burning inside me to get out… the song came to life in just a few hours of recording.” This passionate track about resilience and getting back up again is energetic, following on from his previous single In a Heartbeat.

Shaky’s vocals highlight a raw earnestness with which he is imparting his powerful message, creating a direct conversation with the listener where he honestly expresses the highs and lows of life. These lyrics provide a relatable edge to the track as well as simultaneously lifting the listener’s mood through the energetic and fun atmosphere.

The opening of the track introduces the beat and the rhythm in an authentic garage rock backdrop. Rather than becoming just a background for the song, the instrumentals add to the overall rock tone, with a continuation of punchy, live drums and catchy guitar strums which flow alongside the vocals to create an energetic, passionate, and positive song. It’s perfect for a long drive or a gym workout.

Ultimately, Take It Away is an energetic and powerful garage rock record about resilience and getting back up again, highlighted through the catchy instrumentals and raw lyrics. The aesthetic of the independent home producer furthermore provides the song with an authentic and 2000s inspired look.
