Gee Whiz! exploded onto our radar late last year through their beautifully classic number Mr Dinosaur.

The track features on their debut album How To Manage A Crisis which offers us a deeper dive into their psychedelic world.

It’s an album that wouldn’t be out of place in the golden age of rock, channelling the wit and energy of the ‘60s and ‘70s. The Beatles are a known influence but from the album I also got some Velvet Underground-style irreverence and Bowie-like charm.

If you’re a lover of the classics, then Gee Whiz! will speak to you. The Bologna, Italy-based supergroup are bringing the sound right up to date.
