One of the UK’s most enduring pop and soul voices returns to York next spring as Gabrielle brings The Hits Tour to York Barbican on Monday 5 April 2027.

With a career spanning more than three decades and a catalogue full of chart‑defining classics, the tour celebrates an artist whose music continues to resonate across generations.

Gabrielle first broke through in the early ’90s and rapidly became a defining figure in British pop, her unmistakable tone and emotionally direct songwriting leading to six Top 10 albums and a run of hit singles that helped shape the era. Her landmark 1999 album Rise remains one of her most celebrated releases, achieving 4× Platinum status, while her acclaimed greatest hits collection Dreams Can Come True further cemented her reputation as one of the UK’s most recognisable artists.

Recent years have seen Gabrielle reassert her place in the contemporary music landscape. Her 2024 record A Place in Your Heart introduced her to a new audience, while standout appearances on The Masked Singer UK and Stormzy’s cultural moment Mel Made Me Do It reminded long‑term fans of her lasting influence. Alongside her studio work, she has continued to shine on stage, touring arenas throughout the UK and joining global stars including Adele, Lionel Richie, Simply Red and Tom Jones.

The Hits Tour will see Gabrielle revisit the songs that defined her remarkable career, including favourites such as Rise, Dreams, Out of Reach, Sunshine, When a Woman, and Give Me a Little More Time. With her signature warmth and a voice that has lost none of its power, the tour promises an evening celebrating both nostalgia and her ongoing creative energy.
