Preview: Jinkx Monsoon Brings Speaking of Witch To York

Fresh from conquering Broadway stages and earning acclaim for roles in Oh, Mary!, Pirates! The Penzance Musical and End of the Rainbow, Jinkx Monsoon returns to the UK this summer with an all-new live show.

Speaking of Witch arrives at York Barbican on 10 July, promising an evening of comedy, music and candid storytelling from one of drag’s most celebrated performers.

Since being crowned RuPaul’s “Queen of All Queens”, Monsoon’s career has gone from strength to strength, but this latest tour aims to reconnect audiences with the performer behind the accolades. Written and directed by Monsoon herself, the show combines stand-up, personal stories and live music in an intimate format that promises plenty of laughs alongside moments of reflection.

Joining her on stage will be longtime collaborators Major Scales & The Badlings. Together they will soundtrack tales from Monsoon’s recent adventures with a mix of deep cuts, fan favourites and material from an upcoming EP. Expect grunge piano bar flair, sharp wit and the kind of theatrical charisma that has made Monsoon a favourite across television, theatre and live performance.

With this marking her first solo UK tour since 2022, Speaking of Witch looks set to offer fans an up-close look at a performer who has spent the last few years reaching new heights while never losing sight of the humour and honesty that made audiences fall in love with her in the first place.

Jinkx Monsoon’s Speaking of Witch will take place at York Barbican on Friday 10 July 2026. Tickets are available here.
