Do you plan to release any more singles after Carefree in the near future?

Absolutely. Carefree is just the beginning of this next chapter. I’m already writing and recording new music, and my goal is to continue releasing singles consistently. I love being able to tell different stories with each song, so fans can definitely expect more music soon.

You also released an EP this year titled Turning Pages. What was the reception like and what can you tell us about the EP?

I’m incredibly grateful for how people connected with Turning Pages. The response was so encouraging because listeners related to the themes of growth, healing and moving forward. For me, the EP represents closing one chapter of life and having the courage to begin another. After taking time away from music to focus on raising my family, it felt like the perfect way to reintroduce myself as an artist.

I noticed that Carefree wasn’t included on Turning Pages. Are there any plans for another EP or a full-length album release anytime this year?

Carefree came after Turning Pages because I felt like it marked a new season creatively. The EP explored reflection and growth, while Carefree is about letting go, enjoying life and not taking everything so seriously. Right now I’m focused on releasing singles, which allows each song to have its own moment. I’m definitely open to another EP or even a full-length album when the timing feels right.

You’re a mother of five, which must be hard enough, without working on a music career! How do you manage everything? Do you have a day job as well?

Being a mom will always be my first priority. I don’t have a traditional day job – raising five kids is definitely a full-time job in itself! I’ve learned to work around my family’s schedule, whether that’s writing after the kids are asleep, recording while they’re at school or fitting in interviews and meetings whenever I can. It’s busy, but my family has always been my greatest inspiration, and I hope my journey shows that it’s never too late to pursue your dreams.

I also read that you left your music career for a period of time so you could focus on being a mother. What sort of music did you perform before? Did you perform with any bands, or as a solo artist?

I’ve always been a solo artist. Before taking time away, I was writing, recording and performing original pop music. Stepping away wasn’t easy, but it was the right decision for my family. Now that my kids are older, returning to music has given me a fresh perspective. My life experiences have made me a better songwriter, and I think my music has become more authentic because of it.

Who or what would you say are your main musical influences, and what have you been listening to recently?

I’ve always been inspired by artists like Kelly Clarkson, Lionel Richie, and the emotional depth that Toni Braxton brings to her music. I admire Kelly’s powerful vocals and authenticity, Lionel’s timeless songwriting and melodies, and Toni’s ability to convey so much feeling in every performance. Those artists have all influenced the way I approach my own music. I also love songs that are honest and timeless, regardless of genre. Lately I’ve been listening to a mix of pop, singer-songwriter and contemporary music, always paying attention to great melodies, meaningful lyrics and strong vocal performances.

You’re based in Los Angeles. What is your part of the city like and does it have a good musical presence? Are there any local acts or venues that you can recommend to our readers?

I’m based in the Los Angeles area, which is such an inspiring place to create music because there are talented musicians, writers and producers everywhere. It’s a city where collaboration happens naturally. Some of my favorite venues include Hotel Café and The Mint, both of which have helped launch so many incredible artists. There’s always something happening musically here, and that’s one of the things I love most about living in Southern California.

Do you ever tour? Are there any plans to head to the UK to play any shows?

I’d absolutely love to perform in the UK. I don’t have any international dates to announce just yet, but it’s definitely on my wish list. Seeing people connect with my music from different parts of the world is one of the most rewarding parts of being an artist, and I’d love the opportunity to meet my UK fans in person someday.

Any last words for the fans?

I just want to say thank you. Whether you’ve been following my journey from the beginning or you’ve only recently discovered my music, your support truly means the world to me. I hope my songs remind people to be themselves, embrace every season of life, and never give up on the dreams that matter most. I truly believe that staying true to yourself is what makes you the most relatable. We all have imperfections, challenges and different paths, and that’s what connects us. You don’t have to be perfect to make an impact – you just have to be authentic. And if Carefree encourages even one person to smile, let go of perfection and enjoy the moment a little more, then I’ve done exactly what I hoped this song would do.
