Discovery: Italy’s Amarah Finds Hope In Atmospheric Single and Lyric Video

We haven’t featured Amarah before on our pages. Having just made the leap from Italian language releases to English, now feels like a good time to be discovering her.

Not that I’m adverse to sharing music sung in other languages than English but understanding the lyrics does make for a greater connection. In the case of the Venezia-based dark pop artist’s new single Invisible Light those lyricsdwell on themes of contrast, hope, and resilience.

The single opens breathy and atmospheric with ambient layers that gently evolve into a pulsating electronic beat. Arriving at the chorus, the vocals become understatedly soaring, and the song’s life-affirming message is confirmed.

The second verse keeps the stirring full arrangement in place as we as listener get fully lost in Amarah’s world. A narrative-driven lyric video accompanies, giving the piece another dimension.

Amarah sees the release of Invisible Light as the start of a new chapter, and I can’t wait to hear what comes next from her. If you want to keep up to date with all she’s doing, you can by heading to her website, and by following her on YouTube, TikTok, and Spotify.

Invisible Light is out now, and you can listen to it below.
