American singer-songwriter Trapper Schoepp is no stranger to these pages, with us having shared several of his amazing tracks before, including his 2023 singles Devil’s Kettle, Secrets of the Breeze and Cliffs of Dover.

Now Trapper returns to York Calling with another beautiful folk song titled Last Dublin Song. It’s a lovely piece of music and one that really pulls at the heartstrings, primarily focused on a lovely acoustic guitar technique, immediately transporting this listener into the atmosphere of a misty, rainy day in Dublin. Schoepp’s vocals are as perfect as ever, fitting the style of the music well – they complement the tune’s wistful storytelling, whilst also managing to echo the classic the rootsy, heartland Americana sound that Trapper does best.
