Americana singer-songwriter Roan Vestry is fairly new to the music industry, but it doesn’t show on her new song Smoke – it’s a well written piece of music that serves as a compelling teaser for her upcoming debut album release, Nothing Shines on Schedule.

On Smoke, Roan manages to combine several genres together, gracefully bridging the gap between pop, Americana, soft rock, country and folk, making for one amazing piece of music overall. Roan has seamlessly blended a classic Americana sound with a steady pop-rock backbone, creating a pure statement of intent with her music. The lyrics are as beautiful as the vocals too, building up nicely towards the passionate chorus, creating a sense of palpable depth without losing the intimate core of the music.

Smoke is one song that has genuine crossover appeal (very impressive for such a newcomer!), showing a keen ear for songwriting that surely poses great promise for Roan Vestry’s future music career.
