Eleri Ward’s combination of wit, authenticity, and uniqueness has made her a favourite artist of mine, so I don’t usually pass up a chance to run the rule over her new music.

Her new single is called BELIEVE IT AND IT’S TRUE and acts as a sort of affirming mantra. It’s the kind of track that hits you straight away, launching directly into a lush instrumental before Ward’s powerful vocals arrive.

I detected shades of Lady Gaga as I listened, a similar kind of defiance and celebration of the different. There’s also plenty of the Eleri Ward sound that we’ve come to love, combining the best of pop and theatre.

BELIEVE IT AND IT’S TRUE is a song about transformation, yet it acts as a reassuring evolution of previous releases, particularly Ward’s 2025 debut album Internal Rituals. There’s a through line between them that tells us that she’s an artist with a distinct point of view.
