Fresh from releasing his second album Decoding Birdsong, Manchester-born poet, producer and spoken word artist Antony Szmierek heads to O2 Academy Leeds on 8 October 2026.

Blending sharp observational lyricism with house, techno and electro-pop influences, his latest record sees him expanding a sound that has earned acclaim from critics and audiences alike.
Created alongside longtime collaborator Max Rad, Decoding Birdsong explores themes of fate, coincidence and finding meaning in everyday life. The album features collaborations with Pretty Girl, Los Bitchos, 1-800 GIRLS, Imogen and the Knife and Ellur, while recent singles including The Heron, Chalk, Seminal and Flight Simulator have continued his upward trajectory.
Since the release of his debut album Service Station at the End of the Universe, Szmierek has built a reputation for captivating live performances that fuse dancefloor energy with vivid storytelling. Following festival appearances, international touring and major support slots, he now brings his biggest headline tour to Leeds.
Expect an evening of euphoric electronic textures, witty spoken word and the unique brand of northern poetry that has made Antony Szmierek one of the UK’s most distinctive emerging artists.
