After a decade-long run powering the fierce alternative rock of Jane N’ The Jungle, Phoenix duo Jordan White and Brian Dellis have officially turned the page, emerging with a brand new project. Stepping out under their compelling new name BLØSMM sees this long-term creative duo embarking on a journey of raw, unvarnished reinvention, with their debut single Poser showing great promise for their future. We sat down with Jordan to find out a little more about the new project and BLØSMM’s upcoming plans for the music industry.

How has your year been so far? Has anything particularly special happened for you that you’d like to talk about?

This year has been a really exciting and transformative one. We’re getting ready to introduce BLØSMM to the world, which has been something we’ve been quietly building for quite some time, and at the same time, Brian and I are also getting married this year. So apparently we decided one major life event at a time wasn’t enough!

It’s been a season of creativity, change and a lot of learning. What’s been especially meaningful is realising that some of the biggest moments in my life, personally and creatively, are happening at the same time. It feels like a new chapter in more ways than one.

You have a brand new single out now titled Poser. What can you tell us about the track? Were you excited for the release?

We were incredibly excited! Poser is the first song we’re releasing as BLØSMM, so it feels like opening the door to an entirely new world.

The song is about identity erosion, the feeling of looking at yourself and realising that somewhere along the way, you’ve become a version of yourself you no longer recognise. It’s about losing control, questioning who you are, hitting a point where you feel like you have nothing left to lose and deciding to fight anyway.

The title Poser came from a very real place for me. While developing this new project, I found myself caught between my love for ’90s grunge and alternative music and the heavier, more modern rock sound we were exploring. I was questioning where I fit creatively, and whether I even belonged in that space, feeling like a Poser. Ironically, that uncertainty became the song that started everything.

Do you have any more singles due for release after Poser?

Yes! Poser is just the beginning. We have more music coming, and each release will reveal another part of the larger story behind Archer and Ego, our upcoming record that includes 8 singles. We want to give each song its own space to exist, while slowly introducing people to the world and themes of the record. There is definitely much more coming.

Am I right in thinking you have a concept album coming out soon, titled Archer and Ego? What can you tell us about the album and the concept behind it?

Yes. Archer and Ego is a concept album built around the battle between the different parts of ourselves.

The ego represents the wounds, fears, habits and survival mechanisms that can keep us trapped in who we’ve been. The archer represents the part of us willing to take aim at those patterns, the fighter within who chooses growth, truth and healing, even when it’s difficult.

The album explores themes of identity, self-destruction, faith, resilience, love for humanity and the ongoing battle between the parts of ourselves that hold us back and the parts that push us forward. At its core, Archer and Ego is about learning that you’re not necessarily the villain in your own story. Sometimes you’re a wounded person trying to heal. But healing also requires accountability. It means confronting your demons, breaking habits that no longer serve you and finding the courage to fight the wars happening inside your own mind.

We wanted to create something for the underdogs, the people who have been underestimated, judged, overlooked or knocked down and are still here to tell their story.

You’re both members of Jane N’ The Jungle, a band we’ve covered a few times! Why did you decide to start this new project and how do you differentiate the songs between the different bands?

Jane N’ The Jungle is still a huge part of who we are, and BLØSMM isn’t about replacing it or leaving it behind. We started Jane N’ The Jungle more than a decade ago, and it has been a huge part of both of our lives and creative identities.

BLØSMM came from wanting to explore another side of our creativity. Sometimes you have an idea or a collection of songs that naturally belongs in a different world. With BLØSMM, we found ourselves exploring heavier production styles, more cinematic textures and themes that felt deeply connected to identity, transformation and the internal battles we all face.

The easiest way to describe it is that we don’t necessarily separate the projects by strict genre rules. It’s more about where the song belongs emotionally and creatively. Jane N’ The Jungle has its own identity, history and energy, rooted in ’90s alternative music and grunge. BLØSMM has a different world, sound, and story. Having both projects gives us the freedom to explore different sides of who we are as artists.

Is Jane N’ The Jungle still going? Can we expect any new music from the band?

Absolutely. Jane N’ The Jungle is still very much alive, and we’re incredibly proud of everything we’ve built with the project. We still have music we want to make and stories we want to tell through Jane. BLØSMM simply allows us to explore another creative direction alongside it.

So yes, you can absolutely expect more singles from Jane N’ The Jungle.

Who are your main musical influences for this project and what have you been listening to recently?

BLØSMM was influenced by a desire to create something different, something new that I hadn’t fully discovered within myself before.

During the early development of the project, I was part of Wendy Parr’s Compass artist development program, where we explored exercises that encouraged us to look back at our earliest musical influences and the artists who first made us feel something. That process led me back to artists like Kate Bush, Sinéad O’Connor and Joan Jett.

What connected me to all three was their individuality and raw attitude. They each created their own world and weren’t afraid to be bold, unconventional, vulnerable or completely themselves. It made me realise that I wanted to tap into that same fearless energy, to create something with the rawness and attitude of the artists who influenced me, while pushing it into a direction that felt new.

With BLØSMM, we wanted to combine those influences with modern hard rock, a cinematic production and heavier contemporary sounds. Artists like Linkin Park, Poppy, Spiritbox, and Halestorm have also influenced the world we’re building. Ultimately, the goal isn’t to recreate a particular sound. It’s to take inspiration from different generations and create something that feels familiar in its emotion and attitude, while hopefully sounding like something people haven’t heard from us before.

Do you have anything else exciting coming up this year?

Definitely. Beyond the release of Poser, we’ll be continuing to roll out more music from BLØSMM and introduce more of the world surrounding Archer and Ego. We’re also developing the visual side of the project and planning live performances, so there is a lot happening behind the scenes that we’re excited to share.

And personally, Brian and I are getting married this year, so it’s going to be a pretty unforgettable year for us.

Do you perform live? If so, do you plan to tour in the UK anytime soon?

Absolutely. Performing live is a huge part of who we are. Brian and I have spent years performing together through Jane N’ The Jungle, and bringing BLØSMM to the stage is something we’re incredibly excited about.

We’re currently focused on building and introducing the live world of BLØSMM, and we would absolutely love to bring the project to the UK. We don’t have dates to announce yet, but the UK has always had an incredible rock community, and we’d love the opportunity to perform there. Hopefully, this is just the beginning.
