We first discovered creative collective Blindness & Light back in 2023. I’m pleased to announce their return to these pages with their amazing new single, What Else?, taken from their project Our Man From Fife.

By Jane Howkins

What Else? perfectly showcases Blindness & Light’s knack for blending rich acoustic storytelling with an atmospheric alt-rock depth, mixing genres together in a cool way. The track has an earthy sound, seeing Blindness & Light construct an intimate vibe with is defined by the evocative pacing and the reflective vocals provided by frontman Colin M. Potter. The production really works well with the type of song on offer here, allowing plenty of breathing room for the lyrics to linger and resonate, long after the last chord has played out. What Else? is a masterclass in folk-rock, bridging the gap between multiple genres in a stylish way.
