The former Children’s Laureate is one of Britain’s best-loved writers and performance poets for children and adults, and has presented BBC Radio 4’s language programme Word of Mouth since 1998. He has published around 200 books, including We’re Going on a Bear Hunt with Helen Oxenbury and The Sad Book with Quentin Blake.

Say Owt’s artistic director Henry Raby calls him “a certified national treasure”. Children are welcome, though the set will not necessarily be tailored for a young audience.

Cory Rich, who won the Say Owt Slam in April 2026, will be the support act.
