From writer Emma Reeves, who has had a recent huge success with her adaptation of Jacqueline Wilson’s ‘Hetty Feather’, Snow Child brings the joys and difficulties of raising a wild daughter to life in a world full of fantasy and wonder. Viking Metal Gig
Fibbers
Friday 19 February, 7pm

You many have noticed a Vikiing or two wandering the streets of York, aka Jorvik, over the past few weeks. Expect to find plenty more at Fibbers on Friday when the traditional Viking Metal gig is being held at there as a celebration of the end of York’s Viking Festival. Featuring acts such as Tyr, Aloestorm and Darkest Era.

Approved by BBC Introducing and possessing an incredible fan base, Guy Jones, who’s also been described as ‘Ryan Adams meets John Mayer’, is a must see this weekend. He’s toured throughout the US, and even supported the likes of Maroon 5 and Jessie J. So, get down to the Basement for a quality gig.
