Cry Baby EP Launch
Friday 22 April, 8 pm
Cry Baby are an indie rock band new on the scene with influences from classics such as Oasis and Arctic Monkeys. They will be debuting their first EP ‘Receipt’ and CD’s ca be bought on the night. York has always produced some incredible acts, so it’s definitely worth checking out the fresh talent.
De Grey Rooms
Friday 22 April, 7.30 pm
With the stunning, opulent décor of De Grey Rooms, it’s not hard to picture yourself transported back to 1943 to a tale of English wealth, where the classic novel by Bryony Lavery will be reimagined. It’s a story of nostalgia, past and present blurring and eccentric characters. Previously, it has been portrayed on the Big Screen, so it’ll be interesting to see how this new adaption unfolds.
Buskathon in Aid of Jessie’s Fund
York City Centre
Saturday 23 April, 11 am
Jessie’s Fund is an incredible charity organisation that helps to connect music to children that have communication difficulties. To help raise funds, students from York St John university are hosting a Buskathon with a vibrant mix of musical talent. This includes acts such as Yorkulele, Samba Band and Klezmer Group.
